Museum for the school: class activities
On the trail of Mankind
The Museum offers to Salento’s Schools the chance to have themed lessons in class, to examine the following themes and create the precognitive bases and predisposition attitudes towards the activity in the Museum:
- Prehistory general aspects in the light of the most recent and correct attainments:
Evolution of the genus Homo
Glacial and interglacial ages
Chronology and cultural ages in prehistory
- Mankind and environments in the prehistoric Salento:
The millenary climatic changes
Salento’s “ventarole”
Neaderthal man
Romanelli Grotto and homo sapiens sapiens
- The evolution of human societies, from Palaeolithic posses to protourban societies:
From clans to Neolithic segmental societies
From tribal ethnic groups to stratified societies
Micene’s civilisation and the appearance of the first
protourban forms in southern Italy
Fruition conditions: mandatory booking of 1 or all lessons.
Duration: max 2.00 hours per lesson.
Target: Any kind of Schools.
Lessons can focus on needs and topics suggested by the single classes and, particularly, they are advisable when carrying out annual school projects dealing with reconstructive themes on the territory, environments, and natural landscapes’ history.
School shall submit the request for customized lessons on geologic, paleontologic and palethnologic themes to the Didactic Secretariat at least one month in advance. Info »
