Civic Museum Paleontology and Palaeo-ethonology "Decio de Lorentiis". Corals, Castro limestone. Eocene. 30 million years.

The remains of corals are typical of the Castro limestone formed about 30 million years ago, from the breakdown of a coral cliff surrounding the coast between S.Cesarea Terme and Castro approximately 35 million years ago. The exhibit shows the detail of a small colony of corals in section, characterised by long and thin cylinders with a radial section.
