Pendant on tusk of Sus scrofaUp one level |
Civic Museum of Palaeontology and Palaeo-ethonology “Decio de Lorentiis”.Pendant on
tusk of Sus scrofa. Bone. Neolithic/I Metals Age.
The pendant is obtained on lamina coming from the inside part of the tusk, in which a through hole was made on the proximal end. The distal end is pointed.
The use of pendants on boar tusks seems to become more frequent from the Neolithic, although it was also present, more rarely, also in the previous period.
