blades and short frontal scrapers. Flint. Upper Palaeolithic. 11-10,000 years.
The backed blades have a triangular section and steep retouch; one of these has an oblique transversal cut; another stands out for its trapezoidal section.
The short front scrapers with a flat deep direct retouch.
During the Final Epigravettian period in Italy, regional diffusion complexes developed which differ significantly from one another. Amongst the regional characters the following can be determined: The increase of scrapers, particularly the short frontal forms, the development of the truncated backs and sometimes also geometrical ones.
