Human-like steleUp one level |
The human-like stele made with Pietra Leccese stone has a circular head in the round with slightly defined features and a truncated cone shaped bust. There is no news about the place it was found and data which make it possible to indicate a certain dating. However, a pre-classic environment could be hypothesised for stylistic comparison.
The use of Pietra Leccese, a soft and easy to process miocenic sedimentary rock, documented from prehistoric times to now, is interesting.
