Cylindroteuthis, remains on basaltic slab Jurassic. 190-135 million years.
Fossil remains on basaltic slab of Cylindroteuthis, a cephalopod mollusc of the Jurassic age, the ancestor of the squid. There are three elongated shells (gladius), one of which, almost complete, occupies transversally the central part of the slab; the other two with many pieces missing are on the outside, one near the top and the other near the bottom of the slab.
