Fossil on a limestone slab of a Mackerel which lived in the Eocene period. Excellently preserved, it is clearly visible in all its parts, from the bluff rounded head to the large caudal end. It comes from Pesciaia di Bolca, on the Lessini mountains, an enormous fossil deposit, discovered about five hundred years ago and consisting above all of fish fauna.
