Civic Museum Paleontology and Palaeo-ethonology “Decio de Lorentiis”. Sword. Central
African craft. 19th - 20th century.
Sword with hilt consisting of bone knob and chord lined handle, without guard, with slightly bent blade, with strong point (part near the handle) covered with a bronze plaque and decorated by incision. On the blade there is an impressed decoration side with plant-like motifs ending with a two plumed axe; on the other side the plant shape motifs are repeated framing some Arab writing in this case.
